SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

To qualify as a part time Social Media Manager at Webidextrous you need to be skilled at:

  • installing social media apps on your own access-controlled devices and dedicating time for viewing and responding to notifications
  • ensuring that personal and professional posts and responses are strictly separated and treating the client’s brand and reputation as you would your own
  • understanding the business of the clients, what they provide, and how they offer goods and services to their customers
  • monitoring social media channels regularly for signs of problems
  • responding quickly (within 30 minutes, but the quicker the better) and clearly to inquiries from customers of various service businesses
  • replying to customer complaints and offering to help within client guidelines (offering coupons, freebies, personal consults, etc.)
  • directing customers to resources such as online contact information, appointment booking tools, FAQs, forms, product pages, etc.
  • posting photos, videos, relevant/non-offensive memes, and composing accompanying text with a positive or promotional tone, including relevant links, hashtags, tagging, etc. on a set schedule as well as according to the immediate needs of the client
  • responding in the professional voice and tone of the business
  • a “thick skin” to handle matters professionally when customers are upset or dissatisfied
  • generally being willing to go above and beyond to create positive experiences for businesses and patrons of businesses so that patrons will be more likely to provide a high rating or change a low rating to a high rating.

You also need to:

  • be a U.S citizen living and working in the U.S.
  • be local to the Orlando, Florida, USA area
  • speak English as your first language
  • have solid experience with Facebook Pages, Twitter, and Instagram. Understanding of Yelp, Google My Business, and online business directories is a plus.
  • have a portfolio with at least three referenceable examples or case studies of preferably live social media channels
  • have your own computer, software, and skills to complete any social media project
  • be willing, able, and equipped to work remotely nearly 100% of the time
  • be enthusiastic and charming with clients
  • understand client needs through active listening and insightful questioning
  • be able to deliver on tight deadlines
  • help in the “upselling” process of converting clients to additional services they may need
  • be fluent in all things social media

Hourly compensation is commensurate with a portfolio of demonstrated experience and corresponds directly to hours tracked.

A periodic discretionary bonus will be considered for exceptional performance that delights the client and the client’s customers.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s in marketing and communication is a plus, but will consider candidates with demonstrable practical experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a Freelance WordPress Designer at Webidextrous, you’ll be called upon to:
  • Interface directly with the client in online project discovery meetings
  • Create multiple wireframes and interactive mockups of key site interactions and pages
  • Design multiple layouts based on select wireframes
  • Work closely with WordPress Developers to ensure the design vision is accomplished
  • Revise and update website designs as the client requires
  • Use Google Drive, Zoho Projects, and other collaboration tools to accomplish project objectives
  • Other design duties as assigned
EDUCATION Bachelor’s in a design-related discipline is preferred but will consider candidates with demonstrable practical experience and “nanodegree” certifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a Freelance WordPress Developer with Webidextrous, you’ll be called upon to:
  • Write WordPress plugin software from scratch
  • Write WordPress hooks and filters
  • Write original PHP code to create custom implementations of WordPress functionality
  • Write front-end interface code using jQuery, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Write code to interface with third-party systems and software packages such as PayPal, DonorPerfect, eCommerce engines, and CRM systems.
  • Use Pantheon.io and Git to commit changes and update development, test, and production systems
  • Other programming duties as assigned
EDUCATION Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related programming discipline preferred, but will consider candidates with demonstrable practical experience and “nanodegree” certifications.
